I had a list of burgers that I wanted to try, so I e-mailed the list to my husband and told him to choose which one he wanted to try. I could have put my mortgage on him choosing the “Really meaty burger” and I’d have been right! The recipe called for seitan but there was no way I was making my own. I buy the Topas smoked seitan steaks and they’re very meaty, so I thought they’d do well for this dish. They stuck together OK but there was a bit of crumbling in the pan. I really need to get to grips with gluten flour.
I had a burger left over the next day so I crumbled it up into a hash with fried onion, potatoes, spinach and hot sauce.
